Moog is a performance culture that empowers people to achieve great things. We are seeking a skilledResidential Electricianor a graduate with an AS Degree in Electrical Construction and Maintenance, ready to elevate their career into the world of industrial electrical maintenance.

This uniqueElectrician Development Programis designed for professionals with a strong electrical foundation who want to learn and work on industrial systems. You will work under the direct mentorship of aMoog Electrician, following a structured pathway with clear milestones to become a fully qualified Industrial Electrician.

What You'll Need to Bring

To be considered for this developmental role, you must possess:

  • Education:Minimum High School diploma or GED
  • Experience:Minimum of3 years of professional electrician experience.
  • or AS Electrical Construction and Maintenance Degree (two-year degree).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic electrical theory, NEC and troubleshooting.
  • A strong desire to learn, a "safety-first" mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders/scaffolding, work at heights using manlifts, and work in tight/confined spaces.
  • You must be able to train on1st shiftbefore transitioning to your permanent 2nd shift assignment.

The Development Pathway

As part of this program, you will move through tiered milestones focused on:

  • Industrial Safety & Standards:Learning NFPA 70E, Arc Flash safety, and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) in a factory environment.
  • Industrial Systems:Transitioning to 480V 3-phase power, motor controls, and industrial switchgear.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting:Learning to diagnose complex malfunctions in large-scale plant electrical infrastructure.

Essential Job Functions (Under Mentorship)

During your development, you will assist and eventually lead tasks including:

  • Safety Adherence:Actively participating in safety meetings and ensuring all work meets NEC, NFPA 70E, and ANSI standards.
  • Installation & Repair:Installing power supply wiring and diagnosing malfunctions in industrial equipment under the guidance of a senior electrician.
  • Component Maintenance:Repairing or replacing faulty relays, switches, motors, and fixtures.
  • Blueprint Literacy:Learning to read and modify industrial schematics, circuit prints, and technical specifications that differ from residential layouts.
  • Infrastructure Support:Inspecting and maintaining transformers, bus bars, and circuit breakers in power distribution substations.
  • Documentation:Preparing reports of maintenance activities and updating equipment logs using basic computer skills.

Buffalo, NY $27.00-$33.00 Hourly

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
