About the Product

The platform for account management and order entry in the Capital Markets business will provide financial institutions with the tools they need to efficiently manage accounts and enter orders both at the professional and the individual investor level.

The platform will feature advanced functionalities to manage an Advisors book of business or the individual Investors' Portfolio, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for all users.

About the Team

The Capital Markets Securities Processing is responsible for a number of products that are deployed for processing equities, fixed income, mutual funds, options and derivatives to sell-side brokers.

What you will be doing

Team-facing tasks & responsibilities

  • Support the communication of the strategy and roadmap within the Client Reporting area, ensuring product goals and vision are effectively conveyed to teams and clients.

  • Create features, user story maps, requirements validation, and define acceptance criteria.

  • Ensuring backlog integrity.

  • Prioritization of features in the backlog.

  • Supporting the scrum team during refinement and implementation.

Cross-team and product area responsibilities

  • Facilitate system demos and involve relevant stakeholders - both internally and externally.

  • Cross-product line backlog management: alignment, prioritization.

  • Managing cross-product line collaboration.

External-facing tasks & responsibilities

  • Define and refine scope with clients.

  • Estimating and managing client commitments/prioritization of requests.

  • Be the primary point of contact with the client for a subject or client commitment.

  • Driving client partnership.

  • Understanding of user needs through interaction with client end users.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather market trends.

  • Collaborate with external stakeholders and market events to gather trends.

  • Ensure the integration of features in UAT environments.

  • Ensure the integration of features in demo portal.

  • Conduct client demos and partake in user conferences.

What you bring

Business Knowledge

  • 5-8+ years in wealth management / brokerage platforms.

  • Advisor workstations / investor portals.

  • Knowledge of the end-to-end securities processing lifecycle, including order entry, trade clearance, settlement, and custody. (Security processing systems)

Technical Skills

  • 3+ years proficiency in agile management tools such as Jira.

  • 2+ years' experience in working with scaled agile frameworks.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Soft Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • An understanding of retail brokerage trading workflows and data structures.

  • Structured and organized way of working, being able to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent initiatives.

Bonus if you have

  • Experience working across multiple integrated financial systems. (Back, Middle, and Front Office Suites)

  • Ability to translate data flows to UI behaviors.

  • Regulatory Compliance awareness of major regulations affecting securities processing. (SEC & FINRA)

  • Familiarity with data management frameworks and the importance of data consistency across systems.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $98,200.00 - $166,980.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
