Job Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing professional level support to the HR Director/Manager, related to facility and department goals and objectives. This position assists in multiple areas of HR including recruitment, employee relations, retention strategies, and performance management. This role also assists with departmental compliance with facility, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

The Human Resources Generalist responsible for providing professional-level support to the HR Director/Manager in alignment with facility and departmental goals and objectives, assisting across multiple HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, retention strategies, and performance management, while ensuring compliance with facility, legal, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions, including posting, sourcing, interviewing, selection, hiring, and onboarding, while building strong partnerships with local educational programs and community resources to support candidate pipelines and recruiting events. Supports onboarding operations by coordinating New Hire Orientation, ensuring compliance with staff education and regulatory requirements, maintaining HRIS data integrity, and contributing to engagement and retention initiatives, including employee activities and onboarding programs for Behavioral Health facilities. Additionally, conducts HR file audits for compliance, manages employment-related correspondence, assists with investigations, employee relations matters, and disciplinary actions under HR Director guidance, facilitates exit interviews with reporting on insights, and continuously identifies process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and overall employee experience.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
    • Required: Bachelor's Degree, with 1 - 3 years of work related experience in a healthcare environment.
    • Bachelor's Degree in related field highly preferred or must have 3 years of experience
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Preferred: HRCI Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional Certification (SHRM-CP).
