A Day In The Life: This is a hands-on position with emphasis on creating protein-enriched food applications related products and formulas to address customer needs, revising formulas, incorporating new technologies, and developing training materials for internal sales team. Position will focus on teaching and coaching the team on the basic knowledge of food applications using plant proteins. What You'll Be Doing: * Lead plant protein application expertise to deliver projects, technical solutions, and business targets. * Develop and execute application work across meat, alternative meat, bakery, and beverage categories, including trials and pilot plant activities. * Create and evaluate formulations, conduct ingredient characterization, and manage testing for prototypes, raw materials, and finished applications. * Maintain pilot plant equipment and collaborate cross-functionally with product development, fats & oils, commercial, and marketing teams. * Provide technical support through customer collaboration, trainings, presentations, and occasional sales travel. Skills/Experience Requirements: * Master's or Ph.D. degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related field is required * 7+ years of relevant work with food application to offer the best and most robust customer solutions * Strong expertise in ingredient functionality, plant proteins, and analytical testing across diverse food systems; sensory science knowledge is a plus. * Proficient in operating, scaling up, and troubleshooting pilot plant and lab equipment (e.g., grinders, mixers, UHT, extruders, dryers). * Excellent project management, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into actionable solutions. * Demonstrated strength in food safety principles (HACCP, GMPs), process improvement, organization, problemsolving, and achieving business objectives. * Ability to manage multiple projects in fastpaced environments while maintaining high quality and customer satisfaction. * Strong crossfunctional mindset with the ability to influence, lead, and work independently or collaboratively as priorities evolve. * Highly detailoriented selfstarter with strong presentation skills and the ability to clearly articulate recommendations to customers and internal teams.
