Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Vice President-level Issues Management freelancer with deep experience managing issues and crises in the life science industry. This role requires a strategic counselor and content developer who can translate complex business, policy, and innovation narratives into compelling narratives and plans.

The ideal candidate has served as a trusted partner to senior leaders - shaping voice, sharpening perspective, and crafting high-impact communications that influence investors, policymakers, employees, and industry stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a strategic partner communications leaders and executive leadership team members
  • Develop issues management plans and protocols
  • Draft messaging related to relevant policy, business, product and other common challenges

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years in a communications role, with at least 5+ years of issues management experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-visibility issues and crises affecting multiple stakeholder types
  • Exceptional executive presence for clients
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-visibility environments
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in communications, journalism, public policy, or related field preferred

The anticipated hourly rate for for this position is XX.
