Test Development Engineer

At this time, SCI is recruiting highly qualified candidates whose background and career goals meet our needs for the following position in Huntsville, AL. Please note that due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

The successful candidates could be involved in a wide range of the test development; includingdesigning mechanical test sets and fixtures, designing electrical PWA's and cables for test set andfixture integration, and developing test software forleading edge airborne and/or subsea systemsnot yet seen by the public.

Depending on the individual's backgroundand interests, work will involvecomputer-based design and modeling, rapid fabrication of new designs with both ourin-housefabrication capabilities and/or contractor test fixture fabrication facilities.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Defining and documenting test requirements.
• Designing and developing functional test set H/W that will interface with LabView or otherGUI based S/W and/or writing automated test programs using LabView/TestStand.

• Effective and clear communication to management on the status of projects.
• Collaborating in a team environment to develop new test solutions.

Education/Experience:

• US Citizenship is required (Due to DoD, ITAR and other regulations)
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MechatronicsConcentration Engineering.
• Interested in functional test hardware and software development.
• Training in analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, mechanical design, or Python orLabView and TestStand code development.
• 1-5 years functional test hardware or software development is a plus.
• RF Experience a plus
• Altium, Cadence, OrCAD, SolidWorks, TurboCAD, AutoCAD or other ECAD/MCADtraining/experience a plus.
