Security Officer - Manufacturing Plant

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Plant in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activities and site needs. Pay Rate: $19.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and perimeter access points, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and verify credentials, visitor logs, and/or delivery documentation in accordance with site policies.
• Document incidents, daily activity, and/or maintenance or access concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, client representatives, and/or emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
