As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support people with professionalism and respect. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location serving the public.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site leadership and/or appropriate public agency contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, common areas, and/or restricted spaces, verifying access permissions and documenting visitor, staff, and contractor activity according to site protocols.
• Prepare clear, timely incident and daily activity reports, and communicate observations, concerns, and/or unusual conditions to supervisors and designated personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be available for last minute shift scheduling.
• Be able to travel required distances for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
