Job Summary: |
The Department of Psychiatry seeks a Senior Research Services Professional to provide research coordination for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Learning Health System. This Research Services Professional position will provide critical support and work closely with the Learning Health System Program Manager, research faculty, clinicians, and the LHS team to contribute to learning cycle design, define project scope, develop evaluation plans, analyze results, and contribute to dissemination products such as posters, presentations, and papers. The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Learning Health System within the Department of Psychiatry (LHS) provides quality improvement and pilot research services for the Pediatric Mental Health Institute of Children's Hospital Colorado. The LHS team conducts rapid cycle pragmatic improvement studies with scientific rigor in Children's Hospital Colorado mental health settings on a variety of topics, such as youth suicide prevention and other mental health issues. Key Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the Senior Research Services Professional involve working with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, and administrators on a variety of projects related to rapid iterative improvements in youth mental health care.
Coordinate and manage quality improvement and research projects, serving as a primary coordinator on multiple studies while supporting daytoday operations, study initiation, and closeout activities. Ensure regulatory compliance and data integrity by maintaining study documentation, mastering protocols and consent materials, building and managing REDCap databases, and adhering to university and regulatory requirements. Lead participant recruitment and data collection efforts, including screening for eligibility, conducting informed consent, administering study procedures, scheduling participants, and performing chart reviews and interviews. Develop and support research outputs, contributing to literature reviews, abstracts, posters, presentations, manuscripts, and the creation of data visualizations and other academic materials. Support operational efficiency and team development by identifying workflow improvements, maintaining tracking and reporting systems, assisting with productivity metrics, and training or mentoring junior team members. Provide administrative and communication support, including preparing recruitment materials (English and Spanish), coordinating meetings and events, managing supplies, and contributing to progress and status reports.

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field. Two (2) years clinical research, program evaluation or related experience
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on research studies involving human participants. Bilingual in both English and Spanish - written and oral proficiency preferred Study administration experience including submission history in COMIRB Experience with managing clinical studies and protocol/subject related procedures Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems) Experience conducting program evaluations and summarizing results Experience collaborating with children, teens, young adults, and families
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to enter data via REDCap instruments and surveys in a research setting. Demonstrated ability to enter data via REDCap instruments and surveys in a research setting. Intermediate statistical software knowledge (Excel, SPSS, etc) Demonstrated ability to perform participant-facing activities. Basic knowledge of learning health systems frameworks and methodologies Intermediate proficiency conducting qualitative data analysis and using qualitative analysis software such as NVivo Excellent communication skills as the person in this role will have to regularly communicate with their supervisors as well as clients within the department and representatives from other entities within the University. They will also aid in making group decisions with regard to projects and future PRI plans Ability to maintain a positive attitude and demeanor in working with new and junior researchers throughout the upstart process; This includes teaching skills to others who may be working in the role of investigator for the first time, which can require encouragement and reassurance. Strong interpersonal skills with diplomacy and tact, as well as ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment requiring monitoring and administration of numerous active research projects Outstanding customer service skills, organizational skills, detail-oriented, and time/project management Demonstrated experience thinking independently, problem solving, resolving issues proactively, and managing priorities Demonstrated ability to develop strong collaborative working relationships with a variety of individuals including basic science researchers, clinical faculty, administrators, and others Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to learn new skills, synthesize and apply knowledge from different disciplines High level computer skills including expertise in various Microsoft Office products, use of electronic forms, and knowledge of database searches Demonstrated ability to prepare and present analytical assessments and reports, and to communicate professionally and effectively Basic proficiency in R Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) certification

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $58,705-$78,665. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
