Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As a seasoned leader, you'll be a subject matter expert in production planning and material requirements tools, sharing your knowledge with others in the organization. We'll rely on you to develop detailed schedules, production plans and capacity plans along with complex bills of material for large programs. The Advanced Manufacturing Planning Specialist will review work authorization documents and generate material program plans and coordinate kick-off meetings with functional departments to communicate program goals and objectives.

A Sr Advanced Manufacturing Planning Specialist is responsible for developing and managing shop orders, tracking production progress, and ensuring timely availability of materials to meet program schedules. They collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to maintain shop floor execution and drive on-time delivery across all programs.

Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Requisitions & Procurement:
- Submit PMRP and manual purchase requisitions
- Send parts to quality for clause review prior to submitting PRs
- Reviews and coordinates purchase requisitions, ensuring efficient processing
- Submit purchase requisitions for MRBs
- Add CFM to POs as needed
- Prepare TDPs for purchasing
Production & Schedule Execution:
- Work with work cells and factory planners to execute to schedule
- Coordinate with factory scheduling to resolve material scheduling conflicts
- Report to DPMO when schedule commitments cannot be met
- Work recovery plans or build-ahead plans to balance total factory material
- Determine when designs and materials need to be ready to build on time
- Assists in identifying and managing material risks and issues
Material Earned Value (EV) Reporting:
- Manage material costs, schedule, and risk
- Monitor program tasks and milestones; report progress and issues through Earned Value Reporting
- Align material receipts to meet schedule
SCM / Supplier Interface:
- Coordinates oversight of supplier negotiations and execution of procurement plan
- Develops new supply sources and recommends cost-saving alternatives
- Understand critical suppliers and their impact to the customer
- Works with SCM buyers and Materials & Procurement Manager to support program needs
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and company requirements
- Manage ECN incorporation related to materials and vendors
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to problem solve utilizing analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining focus on details
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office tools
- Demonstrated understanding of material planning tools, concepts, and methodologies
- Demonstrated understanding of the proposal process for both material and labor estimating
- Demonstrated understanding of concurrent engineering principles and government compliance regulations
- Demonstrated understanding of MRP/ERP principles
- Demonstrated understanding of negotiation and persuasion skills
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to implement change and monitor effectiveness of the change
- Exercises demonstrated judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

Note: This position is 100% on-site in Canonsburg, PA and we are not offering a relocation package at this time.

Target salary range: USD $112,500.00/Yr. - USD $117,500.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
