What you'll be doing...

Verizon is looking for a Business Transformation Senior Manager to join our Marketing Transformation team within the Chief Marketing Organization (CMO). Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing Transformation, you will serve as a Strategic Product Lifecycle Owner and Change Agent of an assigned domain, responsible for the incubation, through hands-on delivery and scaled operations, to eventual decline and replacement. You are tasked with ruthlessly hunting for operational friction across the CMO organization. You do not manage tools reactively; you directly lead the change and engineer solutions to minimize costs and accelerate time-to-market. You are an expert in challenging conventional ways of working, identifying systemic friction, and engineering its removal. You will be supported by dedicated technical and enablement leads, allowing you to focus on strategic product requirements, stakeholder alignment, and value realization.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic planning and oversight: Drive the multi-year strategic roadmap for a dedicated business transformation domain, overseeing all phases from conceptual design and incubation through large-scale deployment and eventual retirement of legacy processes or platforms.

  • Process re-engineering and architecture: Serve as an expert in challenging and re-engineering conventional business processes and operating models to identify, scope, and eliminate systemic operational friction across the organization using tools like A3 problem-solving briefs.

  • Solution design and specification: Translate high-level business objectives and strategic visions into detailed solution specifications, requirements, and implementation plans necessary for transformational change.

  • Project and delivery leadership: Directly own and drive the end-to-end execution of a portfolio of strategic initiatives. Rather than playing a passive oversight role, you will be hands-on utilizing structured project management methodologies to ensure high-velocity delivery, successful adoption, and realization of target conditions.

  • Stakeholder alignment and executive storytelling: Act as the portfolio leader to facilitate critical cross-functional decisions, proactively escalate process bottlenecks and deadlocks, and drive executive alignment. Own the creation and delivery of high-impact presentations that translate complex operational data into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership.

  • Innovation and AI marketing application: Continuously monitor the external marketplace for emerging capabilities - specifically AI marketing orchestration tools and advanced automation workflows. Proactively assess their integration potential to high-end creative pipelines and media strategies to optimize enterprise performance.

  • Financial and productivity accountability: Partner with Finance (FP&A) to rigorously track, audit, and validate the hard value realization metrics (cost savings and revenue acceleration) achieved by implemented initiatives.

  • Capability rationalization: Continuously audit and manage the health of assigned business capabilities, designing and executing initiatives to deprecate or replace features and tools to prevent platform debt and system bloat.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Marketing Transformation.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience in Business Transformation, Strategic Planning, or a related field.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master's degree. MBA a plus.

  • Marketing, Media, or Agency Experience (strongly preferred). Deep understanding of the unique workflows, operational pipelines, and challenges associated with high-end creative production, media investment, or brand strategy.

  • Advanced change management capabilities. Proven track record of navigating organizational resistance, shifting user behaviors, and aligning diverse stakeholders behind a unified "New Way of Working".

  • Product strategy and agile proficiency. Experience as a Product Manager, especially in a MarTech environment, with strong proficiency in Agile development lifecycles, requirement definition, and structured framework delivery.

  • Expertise in transformation methodologies. Certification or proven practical application of transformation frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, A3 Problem Solving, or Business Process Management (BPM).

  • Advanced financial and analytical literacy. Experience using data forecasting and outcome modeling to translate operational speed/efficiency into hard cost savings or revenue acceleration metrics for Finance.

  • Systems thinking and collaborative orchestration mindset. Exceptional communication and facilitation skills with the confidence to manage ambiguous direction, align cross-functional partners, and hold teams accountable to transformation timelines.
