Printing Supervisor

The Printing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safety, quality, productivity, and development of employees within the printing press and sheeting departments on 1^st shift. This role ensures efficient operations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.

• Lead day-to-day operations of the printing press and sheeting departments
• Manage departmental performance to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production
• Evaluate employee performance, identify skill gaps, and implement training plans
• Provide ongoing coaching, development, and performance feedback to team members
• Analyze operational and performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Enforce workplace safety policies and lead daily safety discussions
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and provide direction to meet customer specifications
• Lead monthly departmental meetings focused on safety, quality, productivity, and process improvement
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production and process issues

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of printing processes (offset printing experience preferred)
• Working knowledge of graphics software and Computer-to-Plate (CTP) systems
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and influence team members
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently address production challenges
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with production systems
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Folding carton industry experience is a plus
