Overview

Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst position will serve as primary financial business partner for business units totaling +$500M of revenue and be responsible for preparing ops review materials including financial results, variance analysis and benchmarking. Candidate must possess exceptional Excel skills and be comfortable collaborating across multiple departments. Senior Analyst must be able to provide timely, accurate financial reporting and insights/recommendations to drive margin expansion and profitability growth. Position will be an active participant in special projects and ad-hoc analysis with frequent interaction with Business Unit leads and senior management. Role will coordinate extensively with Accounting, Sales and Operations on planning, budgeting and forecasting. Analyst must be flexible and able to prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.



Responsibilities

Essential Functions

    Lead and execute key FP&A activities, including robust monthly forecasting, meticulous monthly closing processes, and comprehensive annual budgeting, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment
  • Facilitate and lead insightful financial reviews with key stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable transparency on financial performance for informed decision-making.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong collaborative relationships across various business segments and departments to gather critical financial insights, align on strategic objectives, and ensure comprehensive financial reporting and analysis across the organization.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to evolve large data sets and create clear actionable insights for management.
  • Prepares monthly financial results and operations review packages for review with senior management
  • Monitors performance and provides actionable variance analysis to management
  • Provides decision support and ad-hoc analysis to management across product/segment profitability

Additional Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly margin trend and variance analysis by comparing actual gross margin performance against booked margin assumptions, identifying key drivers and communicating insights to finance leadership.
  • Partner closely with the accounting team to refine forecasting assumptions related to revenue recognition, vendor rebates, and gross margin performance to improve forecast accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of monthly lender reporting packages, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete deliverables in compliance with credit agreement requirements.
  • Support the development of quarterly Board and executive presentation materials, including financial analysis, KPI reporting, and commentary on business performance and key initiatives.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 4 year degree in Finance / Accounting or related field
  • 4 - 6 years finance experience including budgeting, forecasting and reporting
  • Superb Excel skills including developing forecast models
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP, PowerBI

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Finance or Business Administration

Pay Range

$95,000 - $115,000

Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
