Job Summary

KeyLogic is seeking an experienced AI / Data Readiness Lead to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Chief Data and AI Office (CDAO) by providing enterprise-level leadership in data architecture, interoperability, and AI readiness initiatives across Air and Space Force mission environments.

This is a strategic, hands-on role focused on enabling AI-ready data ecosystems, conducting enterprise architecture and readiness assessments, and advancing modernization initiatives aligned to DAF Data and AI strategies. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in DoD enterprise data environments, architecture frameworks, interoperability challenges, and executive-level technical advisory support.

This position is part-time (0.5 FTE) and contingent upon contract award.

What You'll Do
  • Orchestrate enterprise-wide data and AI architecture alignment across Air and Space Force mission domains
  • Drive adoption and enforcement of AI-ready data standards, including development and delivery of targeted training initiatives
  • Lead large-scale data and AI readiness assessments and translate findings into actionable modernization priorities
  • Develop architecture artifacts and enterprise visibility products supporting senior leader decision-making
  • Identify and resolve interoperability barriers across mission systems, operational domains, and classification boundaries
  • Assess and mitigate systemic data constraints impacting AI adoption, including fragmentation, ownership, and access challenges
  • Align mission-critical AI use cases with enterprise data realities and platform capabilities
  • Support and shape transformation initiatives aligned with DAF Data and AI strategies
  • Engage with enterprise platforms including WDP, UDL, Envision, and VAULT
  • Translate complex technical environments into clear executive-level recommendations and strategic guidance
  • Support Agile execution alignment to ensure priorities, features, and delivery timelines support mission outcomes
Required Education

Candidates must meet one of the following combinations:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and 10+ years of related experience
  • Equivalent practical experience supporting enterprise data, AI, or architecture initiatives may be considered in lieu of degree requirements
  • Master's degree preferred
Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance required (Top Secret preferred or eligible)
  • 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise data architecture, systems engineering, or AI-enabled environments
  • Demonstrated experience working within DoD or DAF data ecosystems and mission systems
  • Hands-on experience developing and applying DoDAF architecture views and artifacts
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, data interoperability, and data sharing strategies
  • Experience conducting enterprise-level architecture assessments or data readiness evaluations
  • Familiarity with multi-domain and multi-enclave environments, including NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and executive leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting DAF enterprise data platform initiatives
  • Familiarity with data maturity models and readiness assessment frameworks
  • Experience with AI/ML architecture, MLOps, or AI enablement strategies
  • Background supporting data mesh, federated architecture, or Zero Trust-aligned data strategies
  • Experience engaging with DoD enterprise data platforms and modernization initiatives
