GIS Analyst I

GIS Analyst I

This role promotes GIS accuracy and consistency as it relates to enterprise policies, procedures, and standards.

Job Responsibilities:

* Reference and gain an understanding of department GIS Digitizing Standards.

* Perform the workflow of retrieving relevant facility documentation and reviewing GIS digitizing for accuracy.

* Utilize GIS digitizing standards, facility documentation, and the GIS environment to evaluate database accuracy and health.

* Transpose complex data from records maps, CAD drawings, land base maps, demographic models and economic resources and other source documents into GIS related database

* Assist and collaborate with team members to communicate issues or necessary feedback relevant to improving accuracy and problem identification.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, computer science or a related field is a plus.

* 0-2 year's experience required.

* Experience with GIS software such as ESRI, AutoDesk, Bentley, Integraph, etc

* Strong understanding of geographic concepts

* Experience with Microsoft Office..

* Proficiency in computer systems, applications, and database software.

Note: This is an onsite role in Houston and ony local candidates will be considered.
