Responsibilities

At Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services, we are helping to create brighter, healthier futures for our patients and their families. We are the Piedmont Triad's only private psychiatric hospital meeting the chemical dependency illnesses and behavioral healthcare needs of those in our community. Our 164-bed inpatient services for adolescents through senior adulthood offers comprehensive and individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilization, daily group therapy and personalized aftercare planning. We also offer a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program to ensure the continuum of care for our patients. Old Vineyard is accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This opportunity is for full-time (40 hours per week) Nursing Services Coordinator. The position offers full benefits and a schedule of weekdays 8am - 4:30pm.

The Nursing Services Coordinator provides high-level administrative, scheduling, and general support to nursing leadership. Tasks include:

  • Generating, managing and updating master schedules while adjusting as needed according to patient care needs, census fluctuations, call-outs, pre-planned time off, leaves of absence, and budgetary constraints.
  • Manages PTO requests, verifies employee work hours with payroll to ensure accuracy, and tracks PRN work requirements.
  • Ensures staff remain compliant with facility-required training by scheduling staff for specific training and using email, text, phone, or in-person reminders to support compliance.
  • Performs administrative duties, including but not limited to maintenance of daily unit staffing sheets, tracking and preparing 90-Day performance evaluations, on-boarding check-ins, orientation paperwork completion, managing CNO calendar and/or appointments, coordinating meetings as requested, and maintaining confidential records.
  • 75% of job is staffing coordination with the remaining 25% being administrative support to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor's degree in health or human services. If no degree (or degreed in another area), must have three (3) years of prior work experience in a staff scheduling role.
  • Strong proficientcy in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Expertise in organization of tasks, prioritization, and time management.
