Job Description

As a Loan Servicing Specialist II, you'll be responsible for processing and validation of a diverse range of monetary transactions, maintenance activity, and/or boarding operations related to consumer and commercial loans spanning the footprint of the bank. Your duties will require the application of problem-solving skills, independent analysis, and sound judgment. These skills will be instrumental in offering support and delivering exceptional customer service to our various internal business partners across all markets. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation and integrity of our loan servicing processes.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will manage and service loans by entering data, ensuring quality, processing documents, calculating interest, interpreting system requirements, and balancing entries.
  • You will interpret documentation to set up systems correctly and handle loan payments, advances, and payoffs.
  • You will review legal documents, ensure quality control on loans, and maintain system integrity to prevent future account issues.
  • You will handle a high volume of calls and service requests from internal partners, conduct research to resolve issues impacting customers, and calculate adjustments for accruals.
  • You will monitor system reports for exceptions, interpret system requirements, and oversee department workflows for processing.
  • You will communicate extensively with internal business partners, handle inquiries, review legal documents for accuracy, and provide guidance to resolve and prevent account issues.
  • You will manage loan records, prepare and send regulatory notices, and ensure compliance with amortization and Reg Z ARM disclosure requirements.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Associates Degree in Business or related field of study and/or 3-4 years of experience in loan production or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of loan operations and bank related operations, including loan policy
  • Thorough knowledge of loan systems processing
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state lending guidelines and regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of loan documentation requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP as it relates to loan processing
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong PC skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams; 10 key by touch
  • Ability to type 30-40wpm
  • Ability to adjust priorities to changing circumstances in fast paced, heavy volume atmosphere
  • Demonstrate independent research and analysis skills
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented
