Job Title: Equipment Operator I/Selector

Location: Lithia Springs, GA 30122

Duration: 5+ months

Schedule Sunday - Thursday PM 8:30 PM to 5:00 AM

Note:

  • Candidate must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Will be asked to do additional warehouse work as described below.
  • Must be experienced on double pallet jack operation - no exceptions - 1- 3 years' experience
  • Order picking from floor and sometimes upper locations (High reach experience helpful)
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly. Team lifts for 50+
  • Build pallets and secure pallets to avoid tipping.
  • Production environment - must have a sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to work OT if the workload demands it



Experience & Responsibilities:

  • 1 - 3 Years of Experience.
  • Responsible for operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
  • Selecting the correct products from warehouse racking.
  • Labeling product using SOS label technology.
  • Palletizing product as it is selected to build customer orders, and delivering product to the dock in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Hand selects orders within warehouse dry environments.
  • Operates assigned SOS unit to create labels and correctly places labels on product.
  • Stacks product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures (e.g., no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.).
  • Stages pallets for loading on proper dock locations, stretch-wraps product on loading dock.
  • Maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, SOS unit, and personal protective equipment.
  • Performs pre and post-trip inspections of equipment.
  • Must follow Client's Safe preferred work methods at all times and follow sanitation requirements in order to comply with policy set forth by Client.
  • This position requires working until all products are accurately selected and loaded including potential overtime on holidays and weekends.


Essential Skills:

  • The ability to meet or exceed minimum efficiency levels established through an engineered production standard.
  • Working rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meeting or exceeding established cases per error goals, and developing a good working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures.
  • Basic requirements include being over the age of 18, the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements.
  • Basic arithmetic skills, and adequate physical fitness to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Reports to Night Warehouse Manager / Supervisor.
