Overview

The primary responsibility of the Payroll Specialist I is to provide foundational support by processing C2C vendor payments, wage garnishments, and contractor payment reconciliations. This role focuses on ensuring accurate data entry and providing timely customer service for general payroll inquiries.

This position reports directly to the Payroll Supervisor

Responsibilities

25%	C2C Vendor Processing * Review, Selection and Processing of Direct Deposit and or Check payment batches for C2C vendors. * Mail checks and remit advises. * Stop payments/replacements and fraud investigation as needed.
20%	Customer Service * Review and respond according to tickets as assigned
20%	Review and Reconciliation * Review and reconcile late submitted contractor timecards along with input of adjustments during contractor payroll processing.
10%	Contractor Terminations * Update payroll cards in UKG and GP
10%	Wage Garnishments * Respond to and set up payroll deduction cards for wage garnishments received (i.e. Child Support, State, Federal etc. )
5%	Collection of Missing C2C invoices * Review Missing C2C invoice report * Contact vendors to obtain missing invoices
10%	Development and Additional Responsibilities * Stays current with industry trends and best practices through regular research and professional development * Develops and maintains relevant skills * Performs any other duties and tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

Entry-level position

1-2 years of experience in payroll or a related field preferred
