Senior HR Business Partner - Richardson, TX

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner plays a crucial role in developing and executing strategic HR initiatives that align with the overall objectives of the organization. They serve as a trusted advisor and partner to senior leaders, providing guidance and support on a wide range of human resources matters. Their deep understanding of HR best practices, industry trends, and business acumen will contribute to the success of the organization by driving employee engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.

What you will do:



  • Collaborate with operational leaders to understand the organization's goals, challenges, and opportunities, and provide strategic HR guidance to support their achievement. Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Access the current organizational structure, talent capabilities, and workforce planning needs. Design and implement initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, talent management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Provide guidance and support in managing employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with recruitment teams to develop effective talent acquisition strategies, including sourcing, screening, and selection processes. Implement programs to attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent within the organization.
  • Develop and implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms. Provide guidance and coaching to managers on performance improvement initiatives.
  • Support organizational change initiatives by providing change management expertise, including communication plans, training, and employee engagement strategies. Help drive a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.
  • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure legal compliance and promote a positive work environment. Stay up-to-date with employment laws and regulations.
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations for senior leaders, highlighting HR initiatives and outcomes.


What you will need:



  • Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's preferred.
  • 10+ years of HR Business Partner or related experience.
  • 5+ years of Employee Relations experience.
  • Environmental experience: Mid-to-large organization environment, multi-office responsibility, and/or engineering consulting firm.
  • Talent expertise: performance management, development planning, talent reviews preferred.
  • Current human resources credentials or certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills.
  • Excellent business acumen.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership coaching skills.
  • Strictly maintains confidentiality and privacy of employees and candidates.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work on multiple projects to meet project deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with HCM systems - current system in use is UKG.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time to meet in-person with client groups.
  • May be necessary to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
