Test Engineer II - Test Director (Clearance Required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing, scheduling, executing, and documenting test events to Verify and Validate (V&V) aerospace systems and components

• Develop products such as test plans, procedures, and scriptsto support test execution

• Identifyand define necessary testsupportequipment

• Generate test execution reportsto show traceability of V&V

• Ensure compliance with system requirements through V&V activities

• Apply strong knowledge of engineering principles and practicesthroughout the test planning and execution phase

• Apply logical troubleshooting techniques and documentation to resolve testing issues

• Effectivelycoordinate acrossmulti-disciplinaryteams todesign and developappropriatetestproducts

• Preparepreliminarycost and schedule estimates for test activities

• Manageadherence toprogrambudgets/schedulethroughout testdevelopment andexecution phases

• Identifyand elevate test development or execution schedule risks

• Create and present information effectively to team members and senior engineers

• Identifyprocess gaps and work to implement solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

• RequiresBachelor'sdegree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)

• Typically2+ years of related experience

• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices

• Working knowledge of Product and Quality Assurance principles and experience with generation and disposition of product non-conformances

• Ability to read/interpret schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical troubleshooting techniques

• Basic experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies

• Exposure to and execution of complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reportsin order todemonstratecompliance with system requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with Jira

• Proficiencyin MicrosoftProjector similar planning tools

• Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively

• Demonstrated eagerness to learn and apply new concepts in test engineering

Pay Range:

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education,experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.

This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
