Taunton HSE Engineer
Overview The Environmental Health and Safety Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and managing a variety of the Site's environmental and safety programs to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. This will be achieved by providing support to foster optimal environmental protection and preventing injury to employees along with preventing damage to property and equipment. This is an onsite role with site presence required all 5 days of the week. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively with other departments and managers to provide support to the overall operation as this position will interface with almost every area of the operations. This includes working closely with Production, Quality, Facilities to ensure the best business solutions. Individual must foster a positive, encouraging, and team environment and communicate proactively any issues/concerns Responsibilities
Ensure compliance to environmental and safety standards through inspections of operating areas, audits, operation readiness reviews, and review of and approval of operating procedures. Coordinate and support waste disposal and other environmental activities.
