JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Irving, IL

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Salary Range: $16-$20 per hour based on experience

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Works under the direction of the location manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include general clerical, receptionist and project-based work. Projects a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction.

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides outstanding and courteous customer service
  • Responsible for greeting customers and answering telephones
  • Prepare accurate and timely producer grain settlements
  • Daily maintenance of scale tickets, posting of grain transfers
  • Properly weigh and grade grain deliveries and outgoing loads
  • Assist with customer billing and inventory accounting
  • Issue grain contracts for producers; manage for accuracy, completeness, and producer confirmations
  • Provide producers with accurate cash price and basis quotes and information
  • Prepares invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy
  • Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services
  • Keeps the assigned supervisor informed of operational, customer, vendors, or employee issues that may arise
  • Assist other departments and office personnel with projects as needed
  • Accept additional responsibilities and other duties as directed by the Location Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of accounts payable is considered an asset.
  • Agricultural experience is considered an asset

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to work seasonal overtime schedule including weekends.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
