The Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations within an assigned manufacturing area. This role partners closely with the Supervisor to support employee training, ensure safety and compliance, drive department performance, maintain product quality, and achieve production targets. Adherence to all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies is a core responsibility of this position.

Key Responsibilities:



    • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring all environmental and safety standards are consistently followed.
    • Support efficient department operations by monitoring productivity, labor utilization, and material usage.
    • Conduct departmental audits and ensure completion and compliance with required safety and training programs.
    • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members, recognizing achievements and addressing gaps.
    • Recommend staffing needs, including scheduling, shifts, and overtime, to meet production demands.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Monitor daily operations, identify issues, and escalate concerns as needed.
    • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
    • Communicate departmental needs to the Supervisor to ensure appropriate resources are available.
    • Reinforce company policies and ensure team adherence through consistent communication and follow-up.
    • Track and report daily production metrics to leadership.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience required; transformer industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, crane) preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and a strong safety record.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and ensure team readiness for execution.
  • Proven ability to meet production and departmental goals.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality products.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and support other departments as needed.
  • Commitment to company policies, procedures, and core values.
  • Ability to complete all required compliance and safety training.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (floor to waist and waist to shoulder) repeatedly.
  • Prolonged standing and walking.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, and kneeling.
  • Ability to climb ladders and maintain balance with three points of contact for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments (heat and cold).
