Dispatcher- Queens NY

Royal Waste Services is seeking a Roll-Off Dispatcher to join our team in Queens, NY. This role is essential to keeping our operations running smoothly by coordinating drivers, resolving service issues, and supporting our customer service and operations teams. Hourly Rate : $28-$30/hr. (depending on relevant experience)

Schedule : Monday-Saturday, 12:00 AM - 9:00 AM (Overnight shift, 6 days/week)

Position Summary

The Roll-Off Dispatcher is responsible for managing incoming requests, dispatching drivers based on priority, and ensuring timely and accurate service delivery. This position requires strong communication skills, excellent computer proficiency, and the ability to remain calm and organized in a highvolume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customer service, operations, and other departments to resolve service issues and customer disputes.
• Investigate and resolve inquiries related to missed pick-ups, misplaced containers, and property damage.
• Support drivers by clarifying service details before pick-up or delivery.
• Schedule and dispatch work assignments throughout the shift.
• Utilize proprietary systems and demonstrate proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Provide professional, courteous service that promotes customer satisfaction and goodwill.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with frequent customer interaction.
• Identify opportunities to promote additional services when appropriate.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of dispatcher experience in transportation or logistics preferred.
• Experience with live dispatch operations and coordinating drivers.
• Experience creating and managing driver schedules.
• Familiarity with driver coaching/telematics tools such as 3rd Eye, Lytx, and DriveCam.
• Strong typing and data entry skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be bilingual, with English/Spanish required for this role.
