PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Adult Programs Coordinator is responsible for providing oversight and direction in the development of Evidence Based Practices (EBP) for behavioral health services and substance use services throughout the Medicaid segment network, including but not limited to, outpatient services, inpatient services, medication assisted treatment (MAT), and opiate replacement services (ORS). This position has a specific focus on the EBPs identified by SAMHSA/NREPP and ensures that services are delivered with fidelity to established models. The Adult Programs Coordinator establishes partnerships with behavioral health and substance use providers, assesses how services are being utilized, identifies areas that can be strengthened, and supports providers in strengthening program quality and outcomes. In addition, this position represents the organization in AHCCCS Adult System of Care meetings and initiatives, contributing to system-level planning, collaboration, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Required Work Experience
- 2 years of experience in the administration of or oversight of evidence-based behavioral health or substance use programs and services; or related field
Required Education
- Master's degree in a behavioral health field or health related field
Required Licenses
- Valid Arizona Driver License, with an acceptable driving record

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the subject matter expert in Evidence Based Practices for behavioral health services and substance use services offered throughout the Medicaid segment network, including but not limited to outpatient services, inpatient services, medication assisted treatment (MAT), and opiate replacement services (ORS).
- Establishes and maintains partnerships with behavioral health providers, substance use providers, and community-based organizations throughout the state.
- Provides technical assistance, training, support, planning, and information for the company, contracted providers, and stakeholders on Evidence Based Practices and the implementation of behavioral health and substance use activities in the Adult System of Care (ASOC).
- Supports access to behavioral health and substance use services for members in rural and underserved communities by collaborating with providers and stakeholders to identify service gaps and develop innovative solutions for delivering care.
- Participates in community-based outreach, including tabling at events, to share information on behavioral health and substance use services and evidence-based programs.
- Attends meetings and participates in regional and statewide initiatives related to the AHCCCS Adult System of Care (ASOC).
- Oversees contractual requirements related to AMPM 570, including the development of Case Management Plan deliverables.
- Audits programs/best practices, including ASAM, case management inventories, the Assertive Community Treatment teams, and other Ad Hoc audits, as needed.
- Coordinates with AHCCCS contractor for SMI Determinations.
- Develops deliverables, communications, reports, and policies and procedures, as appropriate.
- Coordinates and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, providers, members, state officials on regional behavioral health substance use related issues and programs, including prevention programming.
- Serves as liaison with state, regional and community groups and participates in meetings and committees as assigned; maintains positive relations with partners.

- Perform all other duties as assigned
- The position has an onsite expectation of 1 day per week and requires a full-time work schedule. Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements.
