How can you make an impact?

The K-12 Finance team is seeking a forward-thinking Finance Manager to lead the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into our financial operations while driving cost savings and operational efficiencies. This role combines expertise in finance with a strong understanding of AI tools and strategies to optimize processes, improve decision-making, and enhance overall financial performance. This role does not include direct reports.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the US.

What You'll Do:

  • AI Integration: Identify opportunities to implement AI-driven solutions in financial forecasting, budgeting, risk management, and reporting.
  • Process Optimization: Use AI tools to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, reduce operational costs, and improve data accuracy.
  • Cost Savings Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies leveraging AI to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Data Analysis: Leverage AI-powered analytics to extract actionable insights from financial data, supporting strategic decision-making and cost reduction efforts.
  • Project Management: Oversee AI-related projects, including vendor selection, implementation timelines, and cross-department collaboration.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure AI applications adhere to regulatory standards and mitigate risks associated with automation.
  • Training and Development: Educate finance teams on AI tools and best practices, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the effectiveness of AI solutions and process improvements, recommending adjustments to maximize ROI and efficiency gains.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Organize and manage the annual budgeting process and assist with forecasting throughout the year. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and identify potential financial risks and opportunities.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth financial analysis to evaluate key performance metrics, profitability, and operational efficiency. Provide actionable insights to senior management for decision-making.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and support decision-making across the organization. Partner with teams to ensure accurate financial planning and resource allocation.
  • Reporting and Presentation: Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders. Present complex financial data in a simplified, understandable way.

What you bring:

  • 5-7 years of professional experience
  • Proven experience in financial management, with a focus on technology integration and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and platforms (e.g., machine learning, predictive analytics, robotic process automation).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets to identify savings opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and ethical considerations in AI implementation.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis software and ERP systems (i.e. TM1, Tableau).
  • Strong attention to detail.

Nice to have:

  • CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certifications preferred.
  • Extensive experience in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and advanced Excel skills; proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan) desirable.
  • Experience with platforms such as Tableau, Python, or R for financial modeling and efficiency analysis.
  • Understanding of cloud-based financial systems and data security protocols.
  • Certification in AI, process improvement (e.g., Lean Six Sigma), or data analytics is a plus

Why work for us?

The pay range for this position is between $100,000 - $120,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
