Job Description

The Director, North America (NA) Token is responsible for driving the adoption, performance, and ongoing evolution of network tokens in North America. This role helps define and execute a regional token strategy, builds and maintains the NA roadmap for token capabilities and experiences, and partners closely with clients and internal teams to deliver measurable outcomes aligned to inyear priorities and Visa 2030 goals. The Director serves as a key product representative for network tokens with external clients and internal client-facing teams, translating market needs into clear requirements and scalable delivery plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and execute a North American strategy to drive token ubiquity in ecommerce and other priority channels. Translate strategy into measurable plans, milestones, and workstreams.
  • Manage the regional product roadmap for network tokens, including experience improvements, platform capabilities, and commercialization readiness.
  • Identify, prioritize, and accelerate new token use cases relevant to NA based on client needs, ecosystem feedback, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with clients, internal client-facing teams, and global token product counterparts to align NA requirements with global priorities and delivery timelines.
  • Execute crossfunctional delivery across product, client support, and sales.
  • Represent network tokens with clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, gateways, and merchants). Communicate roadmap, benefits, and implementation guidance.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • 8+ years in payments with significant experience in product management, product commercialization, or solution management.
  • Familiarity with network tokenization, and token enablement across key ecosystem participants.
  • Experience partnering with issuers, acquirers, processors, gateways, token requestors, and merchants (e.g., commercial drivers, technical considerations, integration patterns).
  • Strong commercial acumen, including an understanding of core payment economics and drivers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication. Ability to lead across a matrix and influence without authority.
  • Handson experience with VTS/token programs, token requestor ecosystems, and issuance/processor integrations.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 192,300.00 to 307,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
