Platform Engineer, Principal

Your Role

The Platform Operations team, that focuses on the design, build, and operation of our foundational tech stack. The Principal Platform Engineer will report to the Director, Platform Engineering. In this role you will be focused on Agentic AI, to design, build, and evolve intelligent, autonomous systems that enhance internal developer productivity and operational efficiency.

This role focuses on creating an agentic internal developer platform (IDP) using natural language interfaces, automating repetitive workflows, and developing AI-driven tooling to analyze and improve existing processes and procedures, all while following a Gitops framework

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Requires at least 10 years of professional relevant experience
• Expereince serving as a technical expert and thought leader in enterprise Platform development and operation.
• Strong hands-on experience managing cloud services in a heavily regulated, DevOps environment
• In depth knowledge of cloud hosting providers, including Microsoft Azure highly desired
• Experience working in an agile development environment is strongly desired
• Experience working remotely is strongly desired
• Strong experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, and prompt engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Experience building APIs, distributed systems, and scalable backend services.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration and automation tools.
• Strong understanding of system design and software architecture.
