Security Officer - Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver Full Time

As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Officer at a government location, you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post where you will respond to concerns, support personnel and visitors, and represent Allied Universal through agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $20.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entry points and conduct access control and screening activities for people, packages, and prohibited items in accordance with site procedures and applicable regulations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, law enforcement, and/or site personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Support security-related operations by preparing reports, maintaining awareness of post orders, and assisting with evacuations, crowd management, and/or other response protocols when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
