Description
The Secondary Market Analyst is responsible for diversified functions including ad-hoc reporting, performing analysis on data and reconciling financial transactions. Ensures timely reporting of data, adheres to established quality, accuracy and compliance standards. Generates database reports using computer platforms or report writing tools. This position will maintain a close working relationship with the Manager Secondary Market and Secondary Analyst to stay apprised of developments and changes across each area. Requirements
1. Communicates the acceptance, verification, confirmation, and communication with the sales staff on all new incoming rate locks, revisions to rate locks, and any other secondary marketing related changes to rate locks that occur prior to the loan closing. 2. Reviews secondary marketing operations and loan data to proactively identify trends and actionable information. 3. Conducts value-added analytics to display trends or answer questions related to profitability and operation efficiency. 4. Analyzes transactions and performs reconciliations of general ledger accounts to determine accuracy and completeness of entries and accounting classifications. 5. Aggregates data and conducts research to augment analysis and identify strategic implications within the hedging platform. 6. Identifies, analyzes and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets. 7. Complies with all applicable banking laws and regulations, including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and related anti-money laundering statutes; and federal consumer protection legislation and regulations. 8. Other duties as required. Qualifications and Skills: 1. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. 2.
