About the Job

The Assessment and Survey Specialist assesses, measures, and enhances the performance of employees in support of the organization's business goals and objectives. The position's focus is on implementing and managing general operations for the 360 assessments, any leadership assessments (i.e. Hogan), and the Employee Engagement Survey. Additionally, the person in this position independently manages time to ensure products and projects are delivered in a timely way and continuously improved. They should be flexible and adaptable and be able to follow processes to ensure accuracy. To succeed in this role, the applicant must possess a great track record of office management and administrative experience, including organizational skills and a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Location and Work environment: Hybrid flexible, in-person work is located on the UMN Twin Cities campus.

Work Schedule: Typical business hours, Monday through Friday

Primary Responsibilities:

Assessment & Evaluation (45%)

  • Coordinate Hogan and 360 assessment administration, as well as other assessments as needed
  • Lead evaluation processes of Talent Strategy programming by designing and distributing Qualtrics surveys; Develop standard and custom reports in Qualtrics
  • Develop ability to adjust and adapt 360 assessments to meet individual unit needs.
  • Present technical outcomes to a variety of audiences using data visualization software and techniques
  • Produce and distribute survey and talent marketplace data to stakeholders

Project Management (45%)

  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan for the Employee Engagement survey and leadership assessments
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including written processes and spreadsheets
  • Prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and manage internal and external (e.g. vendor) deadlines

Communications and other (10%)

  • Communicate effectively with HR business partners, stakeholders, and Employee Engagement vendors
  • Oversee management of various Talent Strategy COE email inboxes and Employee Engagement email inbox
  • Identify and resolve problems
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Supervise 1-3 student workers after six months in the role

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or related field, or a combination of related education and professional work experience to equal four years
  • Project management/process improvement experience
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with Qualtrics or other experience management software
  • Work experience in a higher education setting
  • Project management certification

Pay Range: $50,500 per year - $59,500 per year; depending on education/qualifications/experience
