Key Responsibilities
- Assist in geologic fieldwork for DOE, DoD, and commercial projects, including soil and groundwater sampling, geologic logging, and site assessments.
- Collect and document geologic data during field investigations, maintaining detailed and accurate field logs and reports.
- Support the preparation of geologic and environmental assessments, including data analysis and report writing.
- Work under the supervision of senior geologists to assist with drilling, well installation, and geotechnical sampling.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers, to contribute to project goals.
- Ensure that fieldwork complies with environmental regulations, SOPs and safety protocols.
- Utilize geospatial and geotechnical software such as ArcGIS and AutoCAD to assist in data analysis and the preparation of technical reports.
- Participate in meetings with internal teams and external clients to discuss project progress, findings, and next steps.
- Maintain field equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration for geologic investigations.
- Provide support to projects, including field work. Field tasks will include drilling, sampling, and various other field tasks associated with site investigation and remediation.

Education, Experience and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, Environmental Engineering or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 6 months - 2 years of relevant experience in geological or environmental consulting (required), with exposure to DOE or DoD projects (preferred).
- Some experience with geologic field investigations, soil sampling, and groundwater monitoring (required).
- Familiarity with geospatial and geotechnical software, including ArcGIS and AutoCAD (preferred).
- Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check and be able to obtain a DOE/DoD clearance.
- 40-HR HAZWOPPER with updates (required)
- DOE RAD/GET training (preferred)
- DOE Oak Ridge Site experience (preferred)
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
- 80% of work will be performed in the field with potential of greater than 50% of travel (required).
