Tria Federal is seeking a Shelf-Life / Disposal Lead Specialist.

***This role is 100% on-site.

***This role is Contingent Upon Contract Award.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead and oversee shelflife management operations across all warehouse locations to ensure compliance, accuracy, and readiness of shelflife controlled material.
  • Direct and execute shelflife management activities for a wide range of materials, including pharmaceuticals, medical and surgical consumables, industrial hazardous materials, collective protection material, narcotics, and coldchain items.
  • Perform and manage shelflife extension activities for Type II (extendable) material in accordance with the ShelfLife Extension Program (SLEP) and applicable DoD, Navy, and NMRLC guidance.
  • Conduct routine analysis and inspections to identify expired, expiring, excess, or obsolete material and ensure corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.
  • Manage disposal operations, including identification of appropriate disposal methods such as Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services (DLADS), reverse distributors, local destruction, incineration, hazardous waste (HAZWASTE) disposal, and disposal of Information Technology (IT) material.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and processing of disposal actions, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external entities as required.
  • Supervise and guide assigned personnel, providing task direction, oversight, and quality control for shelflife and disposal operations.
  • Utilize approved inventory or logistics management systems to track shelflife data, material status, extensions, and disposal actions.
  • Operate and oversee the safe operation of various types of material handling equipment to receive, move, stage, and dispose of material.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, security, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to shelflife material and disposal operations.
  • Coordinate with Government personnel, warehouse leadership, and supply activities to support material readiness and accountability.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management in support of mission and operational objectives.



Qualifications:



  • Shall have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Shall have experience leading staff and executing shelflife management operations involving multiple categories of shelflife controlled material, including pharmaceuticals, medical and surgical consumables, industrial hazardous material, collective protection material, narcotics, and coldchain material.
  • Shall possess knowledge and handson experience performing shelflife extension of Type II (extendable) material in accordance with the ShelfLife Extension Program (SLEP).
  • Shall have knowledge and experience with disposal operations, including identification of obsolete, excess, or expired material and selection of appropriate disposal methods such as DLADS, reverse distributors, local destruction, incineration, HAZWASTE disposal, and disposal of IT material.
  • Shall be capable of operating various types of material handling equipment in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Shall demonstrate strong organizational, leadership, and problemsolving skills to manage shelflife and disposal operations effectively.
  • Shall possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
