OVERVIEW

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares items for shipment, receives inbound shipment, and stocks the warehouse.

This position requiresthe flexibilityto work various shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and overtime, as needed. Weekend shifts may be mandated based on business needs.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Comparesidentifyinginformation and counts, weighs, ormeasuresitems of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.





  • Operatestowmotor or pallet jack to move shipments from shipping and receiving platform to warehouse or work area; unload inbound material from vehicles, load outbound material into vehicles.





  • Enthusiastically executes ASR safety program requirements.





  • Prepares and affixes shipping labels (LTL) on packed skids.





  • Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.





  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds withshipperto rectify damages and shortages.





  • Responsible for proper storage of packaging suppliesand finished goodsin the warehouse





  • Log inbound deliveries from UPS and Couriers (Fed Ex, Airborne, etc.)





  • Prepare Bills of Lading (BOL) and labels.





  • Examines incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure all items have been correctlypackaged,are free of obviousdamage,paperworkand labels are correct, and all processing has been completed per company and customer requirements.






  • Perform finished goods and supplies inventory on a quarterly basis or as needed.





  • Work effectively and ensure that food safety, authenticity, legality, and quality aremaintained.





  • Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out-of-specificationproduct, equipment,packagingor raw materials, to a designated manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate action.





  • All other duties as assigned



WORK EXPERIENCES



  • 1-2 years in an industrial manufacturingand/or warehouseenvironmentpreferred





  • Prior forklift ortowmotor experience preferred.Abilityto be certified isrequired.





  • Proven ability to successfully meet customer and management deadlines.



EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but notrequired.





  • Equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds,frequentlylift and/or move up to 25poundsand occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depthperceptionand Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employeeis regularly required tostand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

COMPENSATION



  • Hourly rate $19.00-22.99/hour based on experience. Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs) available the first of the month following 30 days of employment, 401(k) with match, life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, vacation,holidayand sick time.





  • 2nd Shift differential: $1.00/hr; 3rd Shift differential: $1.50/hr
