Position Summary: GSOC is seeking a mid-level Project Manager to join a high-performing team managing a diverse portfolio of IT and operational projects. This role requires a self-managed, organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can build strong relationships across departments. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in project management methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a variety of stakeholder personalities. Key Responsibilities: Project Management (50%) - Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects (light to medium lift), ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget. - Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation using tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, Excel, and Teams. - Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors to remove roadblocks and ensure smooth execution. - Track milestones, budgets, and risks; provide weekly updates including status, accomplishments, next steps, and risks. - Support software implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and operational initiatives (e.g., badging systems, dispatch management, equipment replacements). - Manage projects that are not overly technical but require strong organizational and stakeholder coordination skills. Communication (35%) - Facilitate meetings, capture notes, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across OPC, GTC, and GSOC. - Tailor communication styles to diverse personalities and organizational levels. - Maintain documentation and ensure transparency in project progress and risks. - Balance authority and humility when working with stakeholders. Leadership & Team Collaboration (15%) - Build trust and rapport with cross-functional teams. - Demonstrate emotional intelligence and humility while asserting project needs. - Adapt to team schedules and meeting cadences; manage time effectively to balance meetings and BAU tasks. - Engage with meeting structures and adapt to flexible hours (e.g., 6:30-3:30, 8-5) while maintaining productivity. Additional Notes from Hiring Manager: - Team currently manages 43 active projects with just 2 project managers, so workload is high. - Looking for someone organized, self-starting, and self-managed; no time for micromanagement. - Projects involve multiple stakeholders and require patience and strong communication. - Candidate should not be a technical SME; no programming or provisioning required. - Must be willing to learn, engage, and adapt to changing tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Teams preferred). - Initial projects will be low-lift; medium-lift projects assigned after performance evaluation. - Heavy-lift projects (12-36 months) reserved for long-term hires. *Skills* Project management, Ms project, Agile, Waterfall, microsoft teams, Pmp *Top Skills Details* Project management,Ms project,Agile,Waterfall,microsoft teams *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Experience in utility, infrastructure, or capital projects is a HUGE plus.
