*Description* The PA Department of Human Services is looking for a Project Manager to join their team on a long-term contract basis (at least through 2027). This PM will be a part of a smaller team that has been created to work alongside DHS, the vendors and stakeholders supporting the PA Medicaid Modules and be a part of an un-biased voice assuring that process, procedures and decisions are being made in the best interest of DHS as well as the citizens of Pennsylvania. The team is looking for someone who has experience working on a large multi-vendor project. Someone who has strong analysis, documentation, attention to detail and an aptitude and eagerness to learn. There is a strong possibility that this PM will be extended past the initial contract duration within DHS as historically, that has happened with our contractors. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work within the health and human services space, continue to facilitate communication and partnership with vendors and work alongside some stellar individuals that work there. This Project Manager will be providing support for the Department's MMIS Modernization efforts that conform to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) and CMS Conditions and Standards. The selected contractor should be familiar with waterfall/agile methodologies and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks. The selected contractor will work as a liaison among stakeholders, to gain an understanding of the structure, policies, and operations of the Department to assist with recommending solutions that enable the Department to achieve its goals. The selected contractor will have proven experience in working in the healthcare industry on projects of various sizes and be comfortable working independently and in larger groups. The contractor may be asked to lead workgroups, research solutions, and participate in activities related to the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for the Modernization efforts. They will also assist with researching and documenting recommendations on business and technical solutions to support the Modernization efforts. Project: The current Pennsylvania Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) is the Provider Reimbursement and Operations Management Information System (PROMISe), which is an enterprise-wide system providing automated support for Pennsylvania's Medicaid program. Implemented in 2004, PROMISe was designed to support both fee-for-service (FFS) and managed care organization (MCO) delivery systems as well as various waiver programs. In conjunction CMS directives, PROMISe is undergoing modernization efforts. This position will support those efforts, will require qualified individuals to have an understanding of project management and a healthcare back ground to support successful Medicaid modernization initiatives.
