Description
The compensation rate for this role is $65,000 annually
Ideal candidate's will reside in Pennsylvania, Illinois or Ohio.
The Licensing Specialist will build relationships with internal team members and external stakeholders (state licensing specialists, district, and school leaders) to ensure on-time license acquisition and renewal.
  • Provide research, consultation, application content, and compliance monitoring of state licensing regulations for our programs and new business opportunities
  • Utilize data analysis to advise on regulatory impact on applications, staffing, renewals, and compliance in our existing and prospective markets
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners to support organization-wide compliance, efficiencies, and mission fulfillment
  • Plan and execute the grantmaking process; partner with Accounting, Field Leaders, Sales, and Procurement to operate within the annual budget
  • Work with key stakeholders to review the effectiveness of licensing & compliance tools, and assist in driving the development of new processes and methodologies in order to improve databases and record-keeping methods to track state-specific regulations and compliance information for multiple stakeholders
  • Acts as a project manager and liaison with internal departments to audit, update and communicate state regulations
  • Create, implement and provide ongoing updates and training regarding state licensing regulations to field leaders and staff as needed or requested
  • Periodically travel within the U.S. as needed for licensing application, inspection and compliance requirements

  • Experience in the provision of licensed child care endeavors with involvement in child care licensing applications, regulations, program compliance, inspections, and renewals.
  • Highly organized but also interpersonally flexible and systematically adaptable for continual improvement and collaboration
  • Ability to deal with conflicting priorities, handle stress and high-pressure situations
  • Self-motivated and efficient, with good business judgment and analytical skills
  • Ability to efficiently manage a large workload, handle confidential information and documentation, and react promptly to multiple deadlines while meeting objectives
  • Ability to work independently but consult and defer when needed
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated excellence with verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and timely completion of duties
  • Basic Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Google Docs and Adobe Professional skills; ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to travel, including out of state as needed, to support on-site work in programs across North America-up to 25 days annually
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
