The online Option III Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences (MSNS) Program resides in the department of Nutritional Sciences, which is part of the School of Human Ecology.

Purpose

The purpose of the Graduate Coordinator I is to provide administrative support to the online Option III Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences (MSNS) Program.https://onlinenutrition.cns.utexas.edu

Responsibilities

Graduate Coordination of the online Option III Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences (MSNS) program:

  • Provide student-facing representation of the program including guidance and correspondence on admissions, registration, financial aid, student requests requiring communication between the program and Graduate Dean's office (withdrawals, add/drop, Q drop, leave of absence), academic standing, career-assistance opportunities and webinars, and graduation requests.

  • Manage Option III processing through the appropriate platforms (including Define) including processing of individualized tuition and fee payments, clearing of registration bars, and registering of students. Maintain the documentation of these events on databases (Excel and Salesforce).

  • Coordinate graduation activities, process requests, and communicate logistics of and participate in graduation ceremonies or events. Maintain, distribute, and analyze surveys administered to applicants, students, alumni, and faculty.

  • Maintain relationship with Graduate Coordinator Network to improve the efficiency and management of the Option III program.

Provide administrative oversight of the online Option III MSNS program:

  • Support the Director in conducting necessary administrative tasks and duties that arise in the management of the Option III program. Communicate regularly with director regarding the administrative or academic issues and conduct.

  • Provide financial management of program tuition, fees, and revenue reporting to Director, College, and third-party stakeholders (VA's office, 2U and Extended Education Ventures). Process online student tuition invoices and payments and facilitate all Option III graduate student related financial aid accounts.

  • Attend graduate program meetings with online faculty, assist with agendas, take and disseminate minutes.

Marketing and social media:

  • Facilitate recruitment, marketing, enrollment, and admissions of online MSNS students. Collect and report programmatic data in proper format for Salesforce instance.

  • Maintain relationship with third-party OPM to facilitate recruitment, lead nurture, and admissions of Option III applicants including coordination of marketing strategies, attendance at meetings, administration of career-oriented webinars and office hours.

  • Develop, monitor, and disseminate internet/social media site content, and website content. Coordinate and disseminate email promotions.

Departmental Support
  • Work cooperatively and communicate with other Department of Nutritional Sciences administrative staff.

  • Provide support for departmental activities when needed with approval of the Director.

Required Qualifications
  • High SchoolDiplomaor GED
  • 3 years of experience

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Salary Range

$48,000 depending on experience

Working Conditions
