The EHS Specialist supports the organization's environmental compliance and workplace health & safety compliance by supporting administration of regulatory compliance programs, operational control programs, training programs, and record administration. The EHS Specialist supports the promotion of a strong safety culture and plays a key role in data tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives across a growing organization.

Major Areas of Accountability




  • Incident & Records Administration

    • Administer and maintain incident reporting systems, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of workplace injuries, near misses, and environmental incidents.
    • Track corrective and preventive actions to completion.
    • Maintain regulatory records as required.
    • Prepare incident trend analyses and summary reports.




  • EHS Training & Learning Management

    • Lead EHS training sessions as requested, including safety orientations, compliance training, and topic-specific training.
    • Manage EHS e-learning platforms, including course assignments, tracking completion rates, and generating compliance reports.
    • Maintain training records in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.




  • Safety & Risk Assessments

    • Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations to reduce musculoskeletal risks.
    • Perform repetitive work assessments and collaborate with operations to implement risk-reduction measures.
    • Administer Safety Walk programs, document findings, and track corrective actions.
    • Support hazard identification and risk mitigation initiatives across departments.




  • Chemical Management

    • Conduct routine chemical storage inspections to verify proper labeling, segregation, and storage practices.
    • Support waste tracking activities and maintain accurate disposal records.
    • Maintain and update the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) library, ensuring accessibility and regulatory compliance.
    • Verify new chemicals are reviewed and approved prior to site use.




  • Metrics, Reporting & Sustainability

    • Compile and report health and safety performance metrics.
    • Track environmental and waste metrics.
    • Maintain sustainability metrics accounting and associated records.
    • Develop and maintain EHS dashboards in PowerBi to visualize performance data and trends.
    • Provide routine and ad hoc reports to leadership and corporate stakeholders.




  • EHS Communications & Engagement

    • Support EHS communications through safety bulletins, awareness campaigns, safety talks, and site postings.
    • Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and proactive communication.
    • Serve as a resource to employees regarding EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.




  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications



  • 2+ years of experience in an EHS support role.
  • Experience with training coordination and/or delivery.
  • Familiarity with data reporting tools, including Power BI or similar platforms.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and present clear, actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with EHS management systems and Power BI strongly preferred.
  • Ability to conduct site inspections and assessments in manufacturing, lab, and warehouse environments.

  • Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $33/hour-$41/hour. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
