Description

Airborne Training Services, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced aviation training professional to serve as Flight Training Manager. This leadership role is responsible for the oversight and administration of the company's CFR 14 Part 142 Training Certificate, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and high-quality training delivery.

The Flight Training Manager provides direct oversight of ground and simulator instructors, the Manager of Simulators, and Training Resource Coordinators, while working closely with the Director of Training and Safety to support training strategy, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and administer the 14 CFR Part 142 Training Certificate, ensuring full regulatory compliance with FAA standards.
  • Lead day-to-day training operations, ensuring the effective delivery of ground and simulator-based instruction.
  • Provide direct leadership and supervision to instructors, simulator management, and training coordination staff.
  • Ensure training programs meet safety, quality, and performance standards for pilot qualification and recurrent training.
  • Partner with the Director of Training and Safety to develop and implement training strategies and initiatives.
  • Monitor instructor performance and support standardization, development, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure proper documentation, recordkeeping, and audit readiness for all training activities.
  • Support internal and external FAA audits, evaluations, and inspections.
  • Coordinate with operational stakeholders to ensure training schedules and resources align with business needs.
  • Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence within the training organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in aviation training operations, preferably within a Part 142 environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations, including 14 CFR Part 142.
  • Proven leadership experience managing instructors and training personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee training programs, compliance, and operational processes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a training leadership role within an aviation training organization.
  • Background as a pilot, instructor, or simulator instructor.
  • Experience working with FAA audits, certifications, and regulatory interactions.
