Production Test Technician

At this time, SCI is recruiting highly qualified candidates whose background and career goals meet our needs for the following position in Huntsville, AL. Please note that due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Job Purpose:

A Test Tech is responsible for validating product quality, safety, and performance running diagnostic tests on electronic components, systems, hardware, or software

Nature of Job Duties:

* Operate automated and manual test equipment for PCBAs and electronic systems

* Perform functional and final testing

* Read and follow work instructions, schematics, and test procedures

* Identify, isolate, and report defects or failures

* Perform basic troubleshooting and re-testing

* Document test results accurately in tracking systems

* Work with engineering or technicians to resolve recurring issues

* Maintain a clean and organized workstation (often following ESD protocols)

Common Equipment & Tools

* Functional test stations

* Oscilloscopes, multimeters

* Automated test systems (ATE)

* Fixtures and test jigs

Required Skills

* Basic understanding of electronics and circuits

* Ability to read schematics and blueprints

* Familiarity with computer-based test systems

* Strong attention to detail

* Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

* Basic data entry and documentation

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Education

1-2 years of related experience
