Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work in a cross-functional and dynamic team with applications, engineering, sales and service departments.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Automated Laser Cutting and Sorting, providing proficient engineering and technical support for both internal and external requests, and showcase machine technology to internal and external customers.
  • Lead the product team in a senior role, addressing current challenges with the TruLaser Center in TRUMPF's automated laser cutting portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities for product innovation and improvements in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada markets to continuously increase operational excellence and stability, particularly with integrated cutting and bending systems.
  • Derive product requirements and coordinate specification and prioritization with Product Management and Development Teams in Germany.
  • Lead the local product team to independently create, test and evaluate new ideas that can increase overall efficiency and maximize the impact of our Integrated Cutting & Bending strategy.
  • Consult TruLaser Center Product Management and develop strategies to increase sales, rollout of product enhancements and organize market feedback. Develop use cases and conduct cases studies on material flow from a TruLaser Center to a Bending Cell, using future intralogistics components like Autonomous Guided Vehicles and/or external parts sorting devices.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, effectively interacting with individuals in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. Travel requirement up to 20% in North America, including overnight travel.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. 5 years of progressive experience in engineer or related job. 1 year in each of the following (may be concurrent with 5 years): (1) product development in mechanical or hardware engineering for machine tools, (2) Involvement in requirements engineering from concept to market launch, (3) Product management and strategy, (4) TRUMPF machine tools including automation systems, (5) Agile project management (e.g. SCRUM, Jira).
