Overview
The Richard McLaughlin Center for Operational K9s (COPK9) is focused on optimizing the health and performance of Operational K9s (OpK9s) through innovative education, training, and research programs, empowering veterinary professionals, K9 handlers, and first responders to achieve excellence in their care and service.
What You'll Do Under general supervision, the K9 Handler Instructor performs training, handling, and support for education, research, and clinical programs for the COPK9 Program. The K9 handler instructor will provide training to EMS, OpK9 teams, and veterinary providers, maintains training equipment and facilities, oversee safety during OpK9 clinical procedures, and help develop an OpK9 Handler network throughout New England. The K9 Handler Instructor will also provide input and assist in development of education and training platforms, as well as participate in community outreach activities.
