Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a dynamic and operationally excellent Director, Corporate HR & Operations to serve as the dedicated HR leader for Peraton's corporate and functional workforce and to lead the company's HR operations and shared services function. Reporting to the CHRO this Director will serve as a trusted HR Business Partner to corporate function leaders - while simultaneously driving the operational backbone of the HR organization. This role requires a practitioner who is equally comfortable advising senior leaders on complex people matters and also rolling up their sleeves to improve HR processes, data integrity, and service delivery. Experience in a federal government contracting environment is required. --- What You'll Do Corporate HR Business Partnership
Lead HR Business Partner support of Corporate Functions. Partners with senior executives and coach/counsel them across a broad range of organization, workforce and HR business process topics.
- Actively engage within the HR Leadership Team as a liaison and advocate for HR priorities that foster improved employee experience, competitive posture and internal customer success.
- Coach and advise managers on team effectiveness, performance improvement, and people leadership best practices
- Support reduction-in-force planning and execution for corporate functions, including communications, documentation, and manager preparation
- Partner with the HR leadership team on succession planning, key hiring decisions, and talent development initiatives for the corporate workforce
- Monitor organizational health and employee engagement across corporate functions; develop and execute targeted programs that strengthen culture and retention
- Serve as the dedicated HR Business Partner for the HR function itself, supporting the HR leadership team on organizational design, talent planning, and people matters
- Participate in Business Continuity Management Committee activities as required
HR Operations & Shared Services
- Lead HR operations functions including policy governance, HR shared services, onboarding and offboarding administration, HR data integrity, and workforce reporting
- Own the HR policy library and manager toolkits, ensuring all content is current, legally compliant, consistently applied, and accessible to employees and managers
- Drive continuous improvement of HR processes, workflows, and service delivery models to improve efficiency, employee experience, and compliance
- Manage the HR Shared Services team, ensuring SLA compliance, service quality, and a positive employee experience across a geographically dispersed workforce
- Oversee HR data governance, ensuring accuracy and integrity of employee data within the HRIS (Workday) and downstream systems
- Partner with HR technology and HRIS teams on system enhancements, configuration updates, and data governance initiatives
- Produce and present HR metrics, workforce analytics, and operational dashboards to HR leadership; develop actionable recommendations based on data and trend analysis
- Ensure HR operational compliance with federal and state employment laws and federal contractor obligations
- Support the development and maintenance of Affirmative Action Plans in coordination with Legal and the ER & Compliance function
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting HR operations; flag emerging compliance risks to HR leadership
- Administer HR programs including new hire orientation, performance management cycles, training and development coordination, and exit interview programs
Qualifications
- 16+ years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated experience in both HR business partnership and HR operations or shared services
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner supporting corporate or functional client groups in a complex, matrixed organization
- Working knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, Title VII, and ADEA
- Experience in a federal government contracting environment, with familiarity with affirmative action, and federal contractor HR obligations
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and advise at the senior leadership level
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use HR data and workforce metrics to drive decisions and recommendations
- Experience leading and developing HR teams, including shared services or HR operations staff
- Proficiency with enterprise HRIS platforms; Workday HCM experience strongly preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft HR policies, manager guidance, and executive-level communications
- US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or PHR certification
- Experience supporting a workforce of 5,000+ employees
- Experience leading HR through organizational restructuring, mergers, or acquisitions
- Familiarity with HR service delivery tools (e.g., ServiceNow HR) and HR analytics platforms
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Labor Relations, or a related field required
- Master's degree (MBA, M.S. in HR, or related field) preferred

Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
