ATI Richland is hiring a Senior Maintenance Engineer that is a result driven self-starter responsible for planning, designing, and executing maintenance activities to ensure that equipment, infrastructure, and facilities function reliably and efficiently. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance strategies aimed at increasing equipment reliability, reducing costs, enhancing productivity as well as capital planning to support the business plan. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities:



  • Maintenance Strategies:


    • Analyzes equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and deploy engineering solutions, improved maintenance strategies, preventative maintenance optimization, and other reliability techniques.


  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:


    • Utilizes predictive, preventative, and precision maintenance technologies and strategies designed to identify or control risks prior to failure and ensure optimum maintenance execution.
    • Monitor equipment and infrastructure performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.


  • Collaboration:


    • Provides technical service to operations and manufacturing personnel on equipment related troubleshooting efforts.
    • Track the implementation and effectiveness of the maintenance strategy and identify recommended improvements for optimization.


  • Total Cost:


    • Maximize equipment reliability while considering economic factors.
    • Evaluate the impact of projects (reconfigurations, design changes) on meeting customer needs.



  • Capital Planning:


    • Development and manage business improvement plan, which feeds into 5-year capital plan.
    • Technical support liaison between operating plant and Capital Projects team

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline.
  • At least 3-5 years of mechanical reliability and engineering experience within a heavy industrial environment.
  • Proficient in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and working with DATA to find trends and monitor equipment performance.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical or mechanical components, tools, and designs.
  • Experience working with machines and equipment in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills


Preferred Skills (in addition to Basic Qualifications):



  • FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
  • LEAN principles
  • RCA (Root Cause Analysis)
  • RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance)
  • Proficient at the use of AutoCAD.

Salary Range: $92,000 to $120,000/annually +
