Job Summary
This is the first level in the Physical Security Specialist classification hierarchy. Employees at this level solve problems, in security area of specialization, with general supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop skills and the ability to work with greater independence. They have knowledge of fundamental concepts and procedures.
Essential Functions
Physical Security - asset protection, physical security technology, event security, law enforcement liaison, physical security assessments. Conduct security awareness training. Security Officer Operations - Create post orders. Ensure officers are trained and equipped to perform their jobs. Follow up on issues pertaining to security officers. Incident Response/Crisis Management - Respond to support employees during security incidents. Provide physical security support for storm or emergency responses. Investigations - Provide investigation support. Review video and card access data. Work with Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Ethics, and others as needed to support investigations. Regulatory - Support regulatory compliance by participating in reviews and training at regulated sites. Assist in preparing information for audits and inspections.
Required Qualifications For Position
High School Diploma Knowledge of security related investigations and interview techniques. Strong personal initiative, proven decision-making ability, integrity and confidentiality. Excellent team and consensus building skills to develop and drive effective security programs. Ability to positively influence employees, peers and management to affect change in the organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills and Microsoft Office proficiency Must be able to work outdoors and commute which may include periods of overnight travel Has to be able to handle and manage high levels of psychological and physical stress over periods of time
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
Bachelor's Degree Minimum of 2 years or experience in guard services, corporate security, law enforcement, or military. Experience with an electronic incident management system

Salary Range*: $62,000.00 - $86,800.00
*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity. Posting Start Date: 2026-04-16
