Position Summary Under the general direction of the Manager of Programs & Development serve as the Marketing & Communications Specialist for the Center for 17th- & 18th-Century Studies and the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library. The Specialist will be a key player in promoting the Center and Clark's research, programs, and events. The Specialist will be responsible for creating publicity campaigns for academic and public programming and events; creating content and distributing the Quarterly newsletter; advertising Clark fellowships; designing and producing publicity flyers and programs; maintaining content for the Center and Clark's website; and managing the Center and Clark's social media. In collaboration with the Director, Assistant Director, Head Librarian, and Manager of Programs and Development, the Specialist will contribute to the development of a strategic communications plan and calendar of communications for external and internal audiences that highlights Center and Clark programs, research, and achievements. The Specialist will collaborate with staff, librarians, faculty, fellows, and students to raise awareness of the Center and Clark through digital content creation, visual assets, and social media content. Specialist will ensure that all communications are in line with UCLA brand guidelines, reflecting a professional level of quality and conveying the Center and Clark's brand and visual identity. They will track and report annually on the reach and impact of online and social media outreach, and on other communications campaigns. In consultation with the Department Technology Analyst, coordinate the audio-visual needs for in-person and livestreamed conferences and lectures as well as help to support online programming. Position is divided between two locations, Royce Hall on the UCLA campus and the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library, located off-campus in the West Adams district of Los Angeles. Ability and willingness to work weekends and evenings as required by academic and public program schedules. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
