About This Role

The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking an Animal Technician I to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. This position supports the routine and specialized care of hospitalized animals in the VHC by maintaining and ensuring a sanitary and safe environment for patients, faculty, staff, students, and visitors. This position is primarily responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of small animal common and ancillary areas of the hospital. Working hours for this position will be Tuesday-Saturday, 5:00am-1:30pm with occasional on-call coverage on weekends and holidays. Individuals in this position must be self-motivated and detail-oriented.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with companion animals/exotics.
  • 1 year of relevant experience.
  • High school diploma.
