About the Job

As an engineer within the Database platform team, you will bring the breadth and depth of your infrastructure knowledge and abilities to bear in supporting the data-oriented needs of the developers and development teams who build the tools that keep the enterprise moving forward.

While your knowledge and skillsets will focus on various database technologies and database management systems, you will have a strong understanding of infrastructure as a whole, including the tools for implementing infrastructure using automation, infrastructure as code.

What You'll Do

  • Apply engineering standard methodologies to analyze and develop software solutions for database platforms, both on-premises and in the cloud
  • Work to automate and improve the developer experience for our engineers
  • Proficiency in DevOps and Agile principles
  • Leverages established coding standards, best practices, and automation capabilities to develop solutions to support our users
  • Identify technical problems and develop software solutions and/or automation capabilities

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the field
  • Experience with database platforms, both relational and NoSQL - On-prem and Cloud (Sybase, Dynamo, Mongo, Timestream, Neptune are preferred platforms)
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Services, containerized applications and container orchestration
  • Experience with Linux based platforms, and modern programming and scripting languages (Python)
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform)
  • Experience working with DevOps, CICD, GitOps, Agile methodologies
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation and how to apply it with services such as Gitlab CI
  • Experience with monitoring and performance management/tuning of systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solver who enjoys learning on the job and thinking outside of the box

  • Analytical Thinking: Organizes and compares various aspects of a situation to comprehend and identify key or underlying complex issues through the use of quantitative data and analysis; leverages strong business acumen, problem solving, and interpersonal skills to think critically about situations from multiple perspectives and consistently seeks ways to improve processes.
  • CI/CD Processes: Involves expertise in implementing and maintaining automated testing processes for software delivery pipelines. Requires knowledge of version control systems. Builds tools and continuous integration servers to enable continuous testing, integration, and delivery of software products. Collaborates with developers to ensure that automated tests are executed at each stage of the pipeline, identifies and reports issues, and provides feedback to improve the overall quality of the applications.
  • Cloud & IT Infrastructure: Embraces, prioritizes, and applies DevOps principles and mindset to cybersecurity services and capabilities; leverages understanding of enterprise IT environment from operating system to networks and domain services and orchestrates applications and infrastructure through a pipeline approach.
  • DevOps: Applies continuous integration and delivery to implement applications and services at a higher velocity.

$98,320.00 USD - $147,480.00 USD

Structure 115:

$102,800.00 USD - $154,200.00 USD
